Hattie was bad. Really bad. When I say bad, I don't just mean forget-to-tidy-her-room, reading-comics-after-bedtime kind of bad. No, she was SO bad, no-one was allowed to play with her. But it's no fun being bad on your own, is it? So, she becomes Hattie the Good. Good Hattie tidies her room and goes to bed early. But nobody likes a goody-two shoes now, do they?! In the most hilarious moment in a picture book EVER, Hattie rebels in spectacular fashion and reverts to being bad . . . for good!

The children in my school absolutely loved Hattie the Bad. They totally understood the humour and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it to them. I thought that the 8 year olds would think it too young for them but they asked for it to be read to them again. One class wrote to Jane Devlin the author and she very generously wrote back. They were thrilled. They had asked all sorts of questions and she did her best to answer -even the really quirky ones! They keep asking when the next book is coming out. I also gave it to a number of children as a gift and they all ask for it to be read over and over again. Can't wait for her next book! Sally Sheils

I bought this book for my 6 year old nephew and he loves it. He found it particularly amusing when at the end Hattie shouts "Knickers", he couldn't stop laughing and as soon as I finished reading the book to him he wanted me to read it again! I would thoroughly recommed this book for young children as the illustrations are also superb which captures their imagination.

My four year old daughter loves this book. Partly because she is called Hattie, but mostly because the main character is slightly naughty. It has a funny ending which will appeal to all ages. Great book for the preschool age group.

I love this book, my daughter and I read it all of the time. Not to spoil the ending but we would say KNICKERS to anyone who disagrees with us. Buy this book its brilliant!

We love this book- our children 5 and 7 have asked for it every night since we bought it a week ago. Despite knowing it by heart, they still find new things to say about the fantastic illustrations and just love shouting 'knickers' as loud as possible. Perfect in every way.
