    In this book Alissa Hamilton sets out to dispel the myth that milk is all it's cracked up to be. In fact it's bad for you. Her message: You can prosper without milk. Sure, this is true, no nutritionalist would disagree. But the more relevant question should be: would your life and health improve if you start living a dairy free life? This question isn't really answered in this book. Hamilton cites numerous scientific studies linking dairy and milk to ill health, except she let's out the equally valid scientific research which concludes the opposite. In reality, even after extensive research on milk, the jury is still out on negative side-effects for people who can tolerate milk. Milk isn't suitable for the lactose-intolerant and folks with cow milk allergy, but for the rest of us milk seems to be just fine. Swapping milk for home-made almond milk (there is a recipe in this book, which shows the 'easy' way to make it. hint: it's friggin'expensive and takes a lot of effort) just isn't worth it.
